Department of Tourism

UPDATE (11FEB2017): This building is no longer occupied by the Department of Tourism. Since July 2016, it is currently being renovated as the National Museum of Natural History under the management of National Museum. I will retain Department of Tourism as the title of this entry for now until I can shot a picture of the renovated facade.

How to commute to Department of Tourism?

The Department of Tourism building is situated on the southern side of Rizal Park along Kalaw Avenue and is very close to Taft Avenue, at around 100 meters from it. The actual corner of Taft Ave. and Kalaw Ave. is occupied by a branch of Wendys. Another prominent landmark is the Masagana Superstore (with ground floor leased to SM Savemore), which stands across Wendys. You can use any jeepney that will pass along Taft in front of Luneta; the usual words you can find in the signage are “Kalaw” and “Luneta”. If you will use LRT Line 1, the station at which you must disembark the train is the United Nations Avenue station. From there, you can just walk towards Department of Tourism.
