ASEAN Garden

This is the ASEAN Garden in CCP Complex situated at the corner of Pedro Bukaneg St. and Roxas Boulevard between the Philippine Navy Headquarters and Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). The photo was shot within the garden itself. The sculpture at the center has the logo of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on the left side of the lowermost wave-like thing.

I could not find any information as to why ASEAN Garden was developed, when it was finished or if it has something to do with one of the ASEAN summits that was held here in the Philippines. Also, despite being part of CCP Complex, ASEAN Garden seems to be lying within the borders of City of Manila instead of Pasay City.
